Studies related to Regenerative medicine

KAC performs teratoma formation studies, tumorigenicity studies, and implantation studies for iPS cells and stem cell-derived differentiated cells by applying technologies cultivated through antitumor studies. KAC also provides animals with implantation of cells.

Teratoma formation study

NOD-iPS cells will be transplanted subcapsular to the testes of NOD-SCID mouse, and triploblastic differentiation will be histopathologically assessed.

Tumorigenicity testing

Differentiation-induced cells from iPScells or adult stem cells provided from outsourcer will be transplanted subcutaneously or sympatricly, and tumorigenicity risk assessment will be conducted.

Transplant experiment of iPS cells/stem cells-derived differentiated cells

Differentiation-induced cells from iPScells or adult stem cells provided from outsourcer will be transplanted subcutaneously or sympatricly; and animals for which engraftment was considered or transplanted will be provided.

Academic report

Poster presentation was given in the 16th Japanese Society for Regenerative Medicine (2017).
